A Day in the Life of Me......

A friend of mine is pregnant and is having a lot of trouble with nausea.

It's been three years for me, and I forget what I did to help keep this symptom away.

I remember drinking a lot of ginger-beer!

Any other ideas?

For me, it was eating saltines, and lots of small meals all day long, instead of the usual three rather large ones.

I got nauseated when my bood sugar dropped...so I grazed, constantly.  Small meals and snacks, frequently.

I know that eating isthe last thing you want to do when you feel nauseous...kind of a connundrum, huh?  Don't eat because you feel sick, feel sick because you're not eating......

Depends on what is making her nauseated.  I couldn't smell meat without getting sick.

Saltines and Coke, Gingerale or Tomato juice (obviously the juice is the healthiest, but I have to be pretty bad to drink the stuff).  Also, it could be the mega-vitamins that are causing it.  She can ask to be put on a different brand or lower dose to see if that helps.

I didn't have morning sickness in the early stage of my pregnancy - I felt like I permeantly had the flue but no vomiting. However from about 7months on I had constant heartburn which made me "sick"

Everything gave me heartburn I was forever up late at night "sick" - I subsisted on ice-cubes for the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy.

For me, Coke was just about the only thing (besides thowing up) that made me feel any better. And bummer, I had been soda free and caffiene free for nearly 6 months when I got pregnant. Coke did the trick though!
